Bishop Seeland’s Farewell Address
The Right Reverend Arthur David Seeland tendered his resignation to the College of Bishops for health reasons, which was accepted. The Right Reverend Henry Joseph King, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of the Pacific and Southwest, was elected to succeed him as Bishop Ordinary of the diocese. The Very Reverend Anthony F. Rasch was elected as Bishop Coadjutor of the diocese. Bishop Seeland’s retirement will be effective upon the enthronement of Bishop King, scheduled for 20 September. Bishop Seeland’s farewell address to the Diocese may be found here. We extend the gratitude of the parish to Bishop Seeland for his years of pastoral care, and our continued prayers for his health.
