Enthronement and Consecration a Success
This past Saturday, 20 September, in a ceremony at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Riverside, California, the Right Reverend Henry Joseph King succeeded the Right Reverend Arthur David Seeland as Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Pacific and Southwest. The Very Reverend Anthony Frank Rasch was consecrated Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese. The Most Reverend Thomas J. Kleppinger presided, with the assistance of the Right Reverend Leo Michael (Diocese of the Holy Trinity and Great Plains). Our brethren at St. Ignatius of Antioch coordinated and hosted the celebration and the reception that followed.
Thanks to Bp. Michael, there are several photo archives:
As an aside, the standard forms of address for a Bishop are:
- “Bishop (last name)” or just “Bishop”
- in correspondance, “Right Reverend Sir,” or “Dear Bishop (last name),”
- in Anglican usage, any Bishop (and especially ones Diocesan) can be referred to as “My Lord” or “My Lord Bishop”
