Midweek Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, commemorating an Ember Day. The September Ember Days are the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday following Holy Cross Day (14 September). The Ember Days are celebrated (approximately) quarterly, as special days of prayer and fasting, and the Ember Weeks were traditionally used for the ordination of clergy.

O ALMIGHTY God, who hast committed to the hands of men the ministry of reconciliation; We humbly beseech thee, by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit, to put it into the hearts of many to offer themselves for this ministry; that thereby mankind may be drawn to thy blessed kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
